3-23-22 Life Group Questions
^ Click Take A Note ^ Remember to write down some short notes for each of the questions below before heading to life group.
1. Share 1 thing that stood out to you about Sunday's Message (1 minute max please) Also press play button in image above to listen to Sundays message if you missed it or just to refresh your memory.
2. Pastor Vaughn spoke about "Unity" during the message as the response to Jesus saying "a kingdom, or a city, or house divided against itself will not stand". In regards to THE CHURCH, how important is unity? What does unity without conformity or assimilation within the members or leaders actually look like? What breaks unity or brings division? What are some key ideas or themes or ingredients or characteristics individuals need for maintaining and increasing unity? (Discussion)
3. To be "Saved" or to be "Converted", that is the question! We heard that both are accurate interpretations of being born again by the love and power and work and grace of Jesus Christ. However, Jesus saying "unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven" makes us think more deeply about conversion. What is conversion? What does "becoming as a little child" look like in real life and how do we do that? Is conversion a moment or a process?
4. Paul was "LOST" and Jesus "FOUND" him and called him to be converted. Paul later writes in Philippians 3 that everything he had gained he now counts as "LOSS/LOST" that he may "GAIN/FIND" Christ and be raised from the dead himself. Pastor Vaughn called this a "Spiritual Garage Sale". What do you need to "SELL/LOSE" in order to make room to "RECEIVE/FIND" more of what God has waiting for you?
Bonus Question: (If time permits) Jesus said "if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you." Pastor Vaughn talked about the "Already But Not Yet" aspect of Christianity that includes the time between the resurrection and the 2nd coming of Jesus. Jesus has "Already" brought the kingdom upon us, but the world is "Not Yet" what it will be after the 2nd coming. What are some specific areas in your life or in the church or in the world where you see the "Already But Not Yet" aspects of Christianity today.
