What Are The Way's High School Clubs All About???
High School is an important time in the lives of every person when it comes to developing their identity. Not only are High School students maturing and experiencing increases in independence, but they are also in what is usually the years where friends and environment have the most significant impact and influence upon them. With thousands of voices competing for their attention, teachers that may have different values & vision, the power of social media, and don't forget the regular stresses of school work it is vitally important for Jesus to have a place on campus. Jesus Club's provide a consistent place for followers of Jesus to solidify their identity in Christ and find fellowship & community on campus. Jesus Club also provides a place for those seeking God, struggling in the above areas, and in need of hope a place to find love, forgiveness, identity, community, and salvation!
By starting a Jesus Club you are providing a space that can and will change your life and the lives of many other young people forever.
Most of the work is administrative so it will require finding the right paperwork for each school and finding a teacher who is willing to allow their classroom to be used once a week during lunch for meetings. Leaders from the church will help with every step of this process as well as the weekly meetings.
Hebrews 10:24-25
24 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
